Dual Degrees

Expand Your Opportunities

What Are Dual Degrees?

Dual degree programs allow you to earn two master’s degrees in just two years, combining ISE’s expertise in renewable energy with the specialized focus of our partner universities. By studying at two world-class institutions, you’ll gain global exposure, interdisciplinary knowledge, and advanced skills in cutting-edge technologies, giving you a distinct advantage in your career.

How it Works:

  • Year 1: Apply and begin your studies in one of ISE’s master’s programs at Reykjavik University. After completing initial coursework, indicate your interest and apply for dual degree acceptance.
  • Year 2: Transition to a partner university for advanced research and specialized coursework.
  • Outcome: Earn two master’s degrees—one from Reykjavik University and one from the partner university, while conducting joint research and publishing findings collaboratively.

Why Pursue?

  • Two Degrees, One Tuition: Earn two master’s degrees in just two years while paying tuition fees for one at Reykjavik University.
  • Global Experience: Study in two countries, gaining perspectives and access to world-class resources in renewable energy and advanced technologies.
  • Career-Ready Expertise: Combine interdisciplinary skills and hands-on research to stand out in the competitive energy sector.
  • Collaborative Research: Work with top faculty and industry leaders on projects, publishing your findings through both institutions.
