This program let me learn from Iceland’s energy systems and explore even more. Going on exchange to Slovenia has been great, and it’s where I’m working on my thesis now. It’s been such a great way to see sustainability from different perspectives.

ISE gave me the chance to do an internship in Iceland and pursue a dual degree in Canada. It’s been a great mix of hands-on experience and learning from people around the world, helping me see renewable energy in a whole new way

Studying wind energy in Iceland was such a great experience. Working on wind tunnel research and exploring Iceland was unforgettable. The small ISE community and the chance to work on interesting challenges made a big impact on me. Now, I’ve secured a job here in energy and look forward to see what’s next.

I not only got to learn about high-temperature systems in Iceland, but I also had the chance to explore low-temperature geothermal systems in Slovenia through a summer school experience. It was an amazing experience that gave me another perspective on geothermal energy.

I would definitely recommend taking advantage of learning from other countries in these fields, and the Fulbright grant was a great way for me to do that. Coming from the US, it was really significant for me to learn from a country that places a higher priority on sustainability and environmental issues.
