The course explores professional project management associations globally, their distinct missions, characteristics, and fundamental bodies of knowledge. Building on the CDIO framework, the course offers a comprehensive understanding of its multifaceted approach to innovation and development. It thoroughly investigates the process of Conceiving innovative ideas based on opportunities or challenges, followed by a rigorous design phase focusing on defining and refining project concepts. It further emphasises the critical stages of Implementation and operation, shedding light on the practical realisation, testing, and seamless integration of project ideas into operational contexts, ensuring the delivery of tangible benefits to organisations and society.

A particular focus is on developing critical thinking and self-awareness, equipping students with the skills to navigate intricate project scenarios with integrity and moral soundness. Students will be encouraged to critically reflect, gaining insights into their personal life cycles, perceptions, values, and individual differences. This self-awareness is crucial in understanding and managing the diverse human elements present in project management. The course's broad spectrum also and also hints at how to managing workplace relations, effective communication strategies, adaptation, and enhance personal productivity and growth, and professional development. It begins with a focus on coaching ethics, covering key aspects like maintaining integrity and confidentiality. The course then to progresses to developing a coaching mindset, highlighting the importance of openness and adaptability. A significant portion of the course is dedicated to establishing trust and clarity in coaching relationships and cultivating a supportive environment that fosters personal growth and professional development. Active listening skills, a crucial component for effective client support, are another focal point of the course. The curriculum also explores team coaching, emphasising the need for presence and responsiveness. Participants are then guided through how coaching links to adaptation and change by using tools that evoke awareness and offers guidance in translating insights into actionable steps. These knowledges and skills are turne into activities like peer coaching and portfolio assignments that are designed to ensuring a comprehensive understanding of project coaching. - The programme is based on online lectures and a combination of online, hybrid and on-site workshops.
- Online lectures are pre-recorded, and students are expected to prepare for the workshops by listening to the lectures – as often as they like -and by reading the well-defined compendium for each workshop.
- A typical course consists of 9 workshops, each lasting 4 hours. Two seminars are hybrid, three are on-site, and four are online.
- Attendance in the workshops is mandatory. For the hybrid seminars, typically at the beginning of a semester, students can attend them online or on-site. The online seminars take place every other week during the semester. Three mandatory on-site workshops are organised by the end of each semester, lasting for five whole workdays each.

The AMPM programme is structured to be pursued alongside professional work, spanning 16 months. You will participate in three interrelated courses during the first, second, and fourth semesters. Two of these courses concentrate on developing knowledge and skills; the third focuses on practically applying the competencies you have acquired. In the third semester, the emphasis is still tighter on your professional work, with comprehensive guidance and mentorship provided to help you effectively apply methods for sophisticated project reviews and evaluations.
If you are interested in research and want to pursue an MSc, no problem; we have carved out a path for that! Any AMPM graduate can apply to write a 30 ECTS research project and receive the AMPM/MSc degree in project management. This add-on to the AMPM programme is for AMPM graduates interested in developing themselves as academics by working independently with a supervisor who is an expert in research in project management and related disciplines. Students pursuing this track must also take an extra course on research methods.
